Misfits Body Piercing has undergon a lot of changes in the past year, from introducing new services to moving to join with a new studio.
Although the business has joined with another studio, Misfits is still indipendent - There's just even more on offer for those that like their body mods & art.
When you arrive at the studio you will be greeted and will have a short chat with the pierce artist to ensure both are on the same wavelength of what piercing is to be done, how comfortable you are feeling about having the piercing and to reassure you and settle you before getting the piercing(s)
You can still change your mind and no one is ever made to feel they have to get a piercing.
If you are under 16, a parent/guardian is required to come with you, If you are under 18, you may be asked for proof of I.D for some piercings, these include; nipples and genital piercings.
You need to be honest when talking to the pierce artis. This is so the artist can be protect by wearing relevant protective clothing and help stop any unnecessary harm towards you while getting a piercing.Other checks ensure that you won't be put in any danger while the piercing is being done, these checks include; ensuring that you don't suffer from any heart conditions, epilepsy, or suffer from dizziness.
These checks also ensure that the pierce artist isn't at risk from diseases such as T.B, HIV/AIDS or HEP virus, etc.

With all piercings, a new pair of disposable gloves is used and a single use cannula needle, which is disposed of in a protective sharps box.
All Jewellery used is brand new and sterilized using an Autoclave. All clamps, receiving tubes and other tools are cleaned using the ultrasonic bath and then sterilized.
The area where the piercing will be is cleaned and a mark is made to allow you to see where the piercing will be.
You are free to make comments and change your mind if you are unhappy with the positioning. The pierce artist will explain why they have chosen to put the mark in such a place. Remember, the piercing is on you, so you have to be happy with it.
A clamp is then used when needed to hold the relevant area and to aid the needle to pierce the area correctly. Time beforehand is taken to ensure that the angle of the needle is correct so that the jewellery will look aesthetically pleasing.
Before you leave the studio the pierce artist will ensure that any bleeding has stopped.
You are then given advice and an aftercare sheet to ensure that you can look after the piercing correctly and help prevent any infections or mishaps afterwards.
